Zoe Hooton, Director and Architect at HPA Chartered Architects, has been appointed on the Advisory Board of the new School of Architecture at Lancaster University. Lancaster School of Architecture is located in the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA).
The board is a mix of academics and industry partners that aim to bring employer perspectives on Lancaster Universities skills development and align best practice with the latest academic thinking with the school.
The board consists of Architects from Hawkins Brown, Grimshaw Architects, Stride Treglown and academic partners from the Bartlett School of Architecture and Kingston School of Architecture who are trustee members of the Design Council and Government advisors.
Zoe, who grew up in Lancaster, explains the arrival of the Architecture School with an innovative, sustainable focus couldn’t come at a better time for the city;
‘I hope that the ideas and fresh thinking filters into the regeneration of parts of the city and gives opportunity to more young people to learn about the Architecture of Lancaster and its surrounding districts.’
