Richard Wooldridge
Richard studied Architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art (Heriot-Watt University) where he graduated in 1998. He qualified as an Architect in 2000, and became owner/director in 2005.
Richard’s areas of specialism include formulating concept designs for the practice’s larger projects, master-planning and planning work. He generally leads on the office’s leisure and housing projects, having gained Associate Planner status in 2017. He thrives on unlocking difficult planning and design challenges.
Richard previously served as the President of LAWSA (the local Branch of the RIBA) for nine years. He has served on the RIBA National Council and is currently Chair of the RIBA North West Region. Richard is also a member of the RIBA’s National Planning Group.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys trail running, exploring far corners of Scotland and collecting vintage records. In his spare time he serves as ‘Dad’s Taxi’ for his musically talented, teenage daughter.
