John Meakin

John joined the HPA team in the autumn of 2024 to begin his year out in practice after completing his undergraduate architecture studies at the University of Liverpool in May 2024.

John draws inspiration from nature and the surrounding environment, a passion enriched by his extensive travels through the American Midwest prior to joining HPA. He has a keen interest in materials and their transformative properties over time, with a strong focus on sustainability.

Outside the office, John enjoys hiking in the Lake District with his dog, staying up to date with the latest fashion, and attending as many music gigs as possible. When he’s not immersed in these activities, you’re most likely to find him on a train—either commuting or on a tour of the UK to visit University friends… that is, if the trains are running!
