Emma Smith
Having completed her undergraduate Architecture degree at the University of Liverpool, Emma has begun her year out in Part I practice with HPA. Her final year at university involved working closely on a live regeneration project in Huyton, where she collaborated with Architectural Emporium and Knowsley Council – this is what inspired her enthusiasm to gain experience across all sectors of the industry.
Over the summer of 2021, she also completed a three-month placement as an architectural assistant at Studio SDA, in Chorley, where she gained insight into the workings of a Chartered Practice. Having recently visited Berlin and Rome, Emma enjoys exploring new cities and discovering different, unique styles of architecture which she is keen to draw inspiration from.
During her time at HPA, she will be assisting the team of qualified architects with various jobs inside and outside of the practice, including amending various AutoCAD files and Revit models, and assisting surveys onsite.
When she is not working, Emma enjoys spending time in the Lake District, going on walks, kayaking, and canoeing.
