Billy Ellis

Billy joined the HPA team in September 2025 to begin his year out in practice, following the completion of his undergraduate architecture studies at the University of Liverpool.

He draws creative inspiration from international architecture and science fiction films, with a particular fascination for East Asian building and design traditions. Before joining HPA, Billy travelled across Australia, Southeast Asia, Singapore, and India, where he explored diverse cultural practices and deepened his understanding of their influence on architectural design.

Outside the studio, Billy enjoys model-making with his grandad and taking long walks with his three spaniels. He also spends weekends helping his father design and build shepherds huts – unless Liverpool F.C. are playing.
