Society of Architects Relaunch
Yesterday, members of the HPA team attended the relaunch of Cumberland Society of Architects, hosted in the Fratry Cathedral, in Carlisle. This social event marked the reestablishment of the Society of Architects and gave RIBA members, students, and other architectural members the opportunity to mix and meet one another in the recently refurbished Cathedral.
A fitting site for relaunching the Society of Architects, the Fratry Cathedral was shortlisted for the RIBA North West Awards 2022. This refurbishment of the Cathedral transformed the Grade I medieval listed building, extending and enhancing the original historic precinct. A tour was also offered to members and attendees, led by the Fratry contractor’s project manager, along with a presentation by the project architect.
This relaunch signifies exciting opportunities for the Cumberland Society of Architects, and our team were delighted to be a part of such an eventful afternoon.
