Richard Wooldridge Named Associate of Royal Town Planning Institute

Richard Wooldridge, director of HPA, has been elected as an associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Gaining associate membership demonstrates that a person has achieved a certain level of knowledge, understanding, and competence in their chosen spatial planning field.

It also means that under the provisions of the Royal Charter, Richard is entitled to use the designatory letters AssocRTPI and to describe himself as an Associate of the RTPI.

Richard said: “We know from experience that our Clients prefer to work with an architect that also has a certain level of planning knowledge. While we continue to work with a number of specialist planning consultants where complex planning law knowledge is required, our practical in-house knowledge enables us to advise clients on the viability of developments and get these schemes through the planning process.”

Associate membership also provides a pathway to progress towards becoming a Chartered Town Planner, which Richard will work towards over the next two years.
