Planning Permission Granted for Mixed-Use Development in Hornby
HPA have successfully obtained Planning Permission for 10 Affordable Homes and 4 Business Units on the Strands Farm site in Hornby, near Lancaster.
The Planning Approval, sees the final phase of development on this prominent site in the picturesque village of Hornby, and will deliver 10 Affordable Homes and approximately 4,000 square ft of Business / Office Space.
Planning Permission was recently granted for Business Units back in 2006, but this scheme was never realised due to economic downturn. The site was destined to remain vacant, until HPA successfully negotiated the release of some of the previously allocated business land for Affordable Housing, during 2011.
A local businessman is now in the process of developing the business units, one of which will become a new home for his successful rural enterprise. The offices have been designed will appear as converted barns from the main A683, and they will be finished to a high specification.
Work is expected to start on site in late spring / early summer of 2012.
