Planning Permission Granted for Difficult Site in National Landscape
HPA’s design for a contemporary rural home with a focus on accessibility has been granted Planning Permission by Lancaster City Council.
The design takes onto account the client’s love of books with a natural lit glass hallway as part of their main circulation space, but the form of the building is a sympathetic but modern approach to the new vernacular of rural housing across Silverdale.
Heavily influenced by its agricultural beginnings, the house is proposed to have exceptional environmental standards with a heat pump, electric charging points and special treated glazing, as well as solar photo voltaic panels.
We are looking forward to this project progressing and construction is to start later in the year. For more on our work in the residential sector, click here.
