Lancaster on Ice Returns for Winter 2022
The popular tourist attraction Lancaster on Ice will return for the winter period, with assistance from HPA. We’ve helped secure successful Planning Permission for a 5 year run of the event, as part of the leading consultancy team, and 2022 is no exception.
This event has contributed to an overwhelming increase in the tourist sector of Lancaster, with over 90,000 visitors in the previous years.
The main attraction during Lancaster’s festive season, Lancaster on Ice will be located once again in Dalton Square, at the heart of the city. There will be the iconic Big Wheel, towering over the square as Europe’s largest portable observation wheel, the enjoyable, real 800m ice rink, a drinks Tipi bar offering holiday favourites of mulled wine and hot chocolate, plus many more Christmas market stalls and even the long-anticipated, traditional carousel.
Lancaster on Ice will open on the 25th of November and run all the way until the 8th of January, 7 days a week (excluding Christmas Day). We look forward to seeing you all there – skates and gloves at the ready.
