HPA Featured in Lancashire Business View Magazine
HPA Director Richard Wooldridge was recently asked to participate in a panel discussion, organised by Lancashire Business View alongside a number of prominent business, academic and political leaders from Lancaster and Morecambe to explore the issues on their agendas in their local area.
Meeting at the historic Leighton Hall in Carnforth , the group looked at the investments needed in the neighbourhood and ways in which to attract investors, the local economy as a whole and sustainability in a heritage setting.
The feature details Richard’s involvement in WooHoo, HPA’s sister company and one of many exciting new start ups in the area. WooHoo is a collective of specialists in Heritage and Sustainability and the article notes that “Given that this is an area with a rich architectural history, it would appear an ideal base for the fledgling business.” During the discussion, Richard noted ” All the focus on sustainability has been on new buildings and not a lot on how to retrofit older buildings”
