HPA Wins At Lancaster Design Awards 2019!
Award-winning Lancaster architects HPA are celebrating after 3 of their projects won top Awards at the 2019 Lancaster & District Design Awards. The awards, which are organised bi-annually by the Chamber of Commerce, Civic Society, and LAWSA (Lancaster and Westmorland Society of Architects), aim to give recognition to projects whose external design and appearance enhance the built environment of the District.
Our 3award winning projects were as follows:
The timber-clad extension to Moss View, in the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, which drew inspiration from bird-hides on the adjacent Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve. A boutique holiday cottage at Castle View, right next to the historic Lancaster Castle, and a luxury B&B, Lancaster Barn, at Bay Horse.
Richard Wooldridge, HPA commented: “We’re delighted to win these 3 awards. As with all of our projects, we worked alongside our Clients, to produce buildings which would make positive contributions to their surroundings. We’re also particularly happy as each member of the HPA team has had some involvement in all the winning projects”
The awards were presented by Professor Judith Mottram at a ceremony in Lancaster’s Storey Institute, on Thursday 23rd May 2019. Overall, 7 awards and 4 commendations were given, with HPA receiving the most awards won by one practice.
