HPA Welcomes Sam Jones
The HPA team are thrilled to welcome Architectural Assistant Sam Jones to the team, bringing with him an infectious passion for design and a knack for unlocking project challenges through creative problem-solving.
Originally trained as a Fine Art Sculptor, Sam has followed a slightly unorthodox route into the world of Architecture. Initially achieving a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture at Manchester Metropolitan University, Sam specialised in metalwork, before eventually working in Graphic Design for over a decade.
Sam returned to academia in 2014 as a mature student gaining BA (Hons)(first) in Architecture followed by MArch (first) at Liverpool University, and was also the winner of the Frank Horton Prize. He went on to gain experience working with a number of design-led practices in the Northwest, notably working as part of the design team tasked with redesigning the galleries at The Lowry, Salford and two years at shedKM in Liverpool.
Sam is currently working towards his Part 3 qualification – the final qualification in becoming an Architect.
