HPA to Assist with E2M Green Festival 2022
HPA are delighted to volunteer for Escape2Make, a charity for teenagers – who we run a regular architecture youth group with – in launching their own Green Festival, for upcoming August. Members of our team have been assisting in creating similar architecture workshops and experiences to participate in at the Festival, dedicating their extra time and expertise to curate the best activities accessible.
The Festival will run a series of free workshops over the course of the summer. While the workshops are catered to 11-18-year-old’s, the event is open to all ages and will include the likes of land art, textiles, ceramics, botanical labyrinth, wild cooking, re-cyclops, woodwork, green filmmaking, and more. E2M are even running workshops to design the Festival itself, along with creating products to sell.
HPA will be at the Festival, showcasing the amazing work we have achieved so far with our architecture youth group, and promoting new projects and ideas with members of the Lancaster community. It is the perfect opportunity to expand our knowledge and commitment to local youth groups and organisations, encouraging architecture for all.
All sessions provide attendees with the opportunity to learn new skills and the Festival will run at 11-4pm on Saturday the 27th of August. The full address for the event is: Scotch Quarry, 79 Clarence Street, Lancaster, LA1 3BB.
The last few workshops are filling up fast but remaining places can be booked here. We hope to see you there for what will be a wonderful family day out.
