HPA Project, Alston Station featured in Railway Modeller Magazine

The conservation work HPA recently undertook on Alston Station in Cumbria as part of the preservation of South Tynedale Railway has been featured in the April edition of Railway Modeller. The Railway Modeller is Britain’s Number 1 Model Railway magazine. HPA was approached by Peter Brown, an avid model railway builder and together with The South Tynedale Railway Preservation Society, helped Peter  put together his model. HPA Chartered Architects provided the detailed drawings from the recent major alterations of the popular Cumbrian tourist attraction. With these in hand, Peter was able to create a romantic depiction of the station and the surrounding Northern town using CAD, laser-cut and 3D printing techniques.

HPA’s sensitive changes to Alston’s heritage railway station including the new café extension and new station canopy can be clearly seen in the images published in Railway Modeller magazine.
