HPA Land Prestigious Dance Studio Project

HPA has been appointed by the prestigious Hammond School to design a new teaching resource centre.

The practice have submitted a Planning Application for the centre, which includes 3 new dance studios that will complement the 3 pre-existing studios that our team designed, which were built in 2010.

The Hammond School, based in Chester, is one of the UK’s leading providers of performing arts education, including dance, drama, and singing, to children of all ages.

Richard Parker, a director of HPA, said: “This project will allow for a significant expansion of the school’s dance facilities, as well as allowing The Hammond to utilise previously unused land. It will also give the dance studios extra break out space to introduce new communal and social areas and larger changing facilities.”

It’s a real honour to have been invited to work with The Hammond School again after the successful dance studio project we carried out in 2010. This project will help The Hammond cement its position as one of the leading performing arts centres in the UK.”

Many of The Hammond’s recent alumni are enjoying success on stage and screen. They include Daniel Dolan who went on to train at The Bolshoi Academy in Moscow, one of only a handful of British dancers to do so. He is now a director if the National Ballet Company of Lithuania and recently appeared in The Nutcracker.
