HPA completes the latest Rural Residential Project in Silverdale

HPA is delighted to share the successful completion of our latest rural residential project in the scenic village of Silverdale. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and design while harmonizing with the natural beauty of the Silverdale & Arnside Area of National Landscapes.

Contemporary Design with a Rural Flair

The newly completed home boasts a contemporary and high-quality design that draws inspiration from its agricultural surroundings. We took great care to ensure that the design aligned with the values of sustainability and accessibility. Our goal was to create a future-proof, forever home for our clients while respecting the local environment.

Sympathetic to the Landscape

One of our primary considerations in this project was to integrate the building seamlessly into the local landscape. Situated within the National Landscapes, we understood the importance of preserving the character of the area and minimizing our environmental impact.

To achieve this, we adopted a room-in-roof design, allowing for a two-storey layout with a reduced roof height. This design choice enabled the building to nestle comfortably within the landscape, much like a traditional barn. By utilizing dark, natural clad materials, such as black timber cladding, we ensured that the structure blends harmoniously with the agricultural buildings and arts and crafts detailing prevalent in the Silverdale area.

Sustainability at the Heart

Sustainability was a core focus throughout the development process. We incorporated an air source heat pump and solar panels into the design to achieve an impressive EPC A rating. These features not only reduce the environmental footprint of the home but also lead to significant energy cost savings for the homeowners.

Moreover, our specially treated glazing was strategically chosen to maximize heat efficiency, contributing to lower overall running costs and reduced environmental impact.
