FiPL Scheme Final Inspection Complete

HPA are delighted to announce the final end of defects inspection has been carried out on our FiPL funded barn project.

Fober Farm, set in the beautiful National Landscape of the Trough of Bowland, Ribble Valley, were awarded special funding to help with the traditional restoration of their barn for continued agricultural use.

Our most recent visit was to make sure that the building was structurally sound and watertight, ready to house both farm animals and other wildlife.

With the continued support of Cavendish Bloor and the Cornerstone Group, we have been able to make this happen. Our love of conservation and heritage structures has been the driving force throughout this project.

Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) is a UK government funding programme. It is designed to support farmers and land managers working in England’s National Parks, National Landscapes (formerly Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and the Broads.

Introduced by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), FiPL is part of the Agricultural Transition Plan and runs until March 2026. This competitive grant programme funds projects that focus on four key areas: nature, climate, people and place.

People eligible to apply include farmers, land managers, and groups working in or benefiting protected landscapes. The projects must support local landscape management priorities and demonstrate clear environmental or community benefit.

The client and the newest residents of Fober Farm are delighted with their dry, secure, repaired Lancashire barn, and HPA hope to be involved in similar projects in the future.
