This project involved an exciting brief to create a new facility for a company that designs and manufactures high-performance sonar imaging equipment for underwater applications around the world.
The company intended to use the £5M facility to double the output of their business over the next five years.
The Client’s brief was that the eventual design needed to have an efficient layout and flow to assist the design and production processes. The building needed to be eye-catching, energy efficient, built to a strict budget, and, most importantly, it needed to be a pleasant place to work. Both the office and production zones of the building have been designed to allow for future expansion.
The enhanced facilities at the site included a larger deep-water test tank and upgraded high-pressure testing equipment to simulate subsea conditions.
