HPA acted as both Architect and Planning Agent on Sands Lane, Warton, in order to obtain approved planning permission for the construction of 12 new dwellings. The site is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the housing designed sympathetically to take full advantage of this scenery whilst benefitting the locality of the existing area.
HPA’s approved plan details a range of properties, varying from two bedrooms up to five, with a mixture of detached and semi-detached houses. Some even include affordable units, helping meet the housing demand and needs for the Warton Parish area.
The eaves and ridge heights of the buildings have been lowered, particularly where the topography of the land rises. These dwellings will utilise materials which are prevalent in the area, constructed using predominantly stone with slate roofs – successfully giving the houses a modern layout, adorned with a vernacular exterior.
This project marks the third major Lancashire housing site that HPA have gained planning permission.
