Quite Simply French

HPA were pleased to be invited to prepare Planning & Building Regulation Approval for the design of four luxury boutique bedrooms within Quite Simply French, where the building fronts the historic St. Georges Quay, in Lancaster.

QSF’s aim was to provide a restaurant with rooms that will be the perfect combination of a wonderfully relaxed vibe, the best local produce, and stylish panache. They have created a home-from-home feel that you don’t get at a more formal hotel.

The project began in March 2019, where HPA were commissioned to design the renovation of the boutique rooms. Throughout the restoration and refurbishment, all contractors took extra special care in preserving the spirit of the property. It was found that some of the existing timber roof structure was degrading and therefore had to be reinforced with steel connections designed by a Structural Engineer. Existing timber trusses and natural stone walls had been concealed above ceilings and behind wall linings, which were exposed as part of the renovation.

The boutique bedrooms were completed in September 2019, and are currently open to reservations.
