HPA has overseen a series of extensions and refurbishments to the historic Hipping Hall over the last 10 years, the latest being the addition of five new bedrooms in a former stables building.
Set in the Lune Valley, near Kirkby Lonsdale, Hipping Hall is a modern country restaurant with 3 AA Rosette dining and luxuriously appointed rooms. This latest £250,000 project has boosted capacity by 50 per cent and is enabling Hipping Hall to cater for larger weddings and corporate events.
The project presented a number of challenges, not least working within a Grade II Listed former stables building and ensuring the development complemented the 300-year-old main building.
The project also included extensive landscaping of the grounds to integrate the new building with the existing hotel and improve customer experience. The landscaping project was designed and overseen by landscape architect Frances Truscott.
As with previous projects at Hipping Hall, our hotel architects also worked alongside renowned interior designer James Mackie to provide a high-quality luxury finish to the interior.
