The Caravan Club Sites

Exterior Image of Designs Completed by HPA

HPA have worked on over 50 sites for The Caravan Club since the practice began in 1979. We, therefore, have a great amount of experience within the Touring Sector. The Caravan Club continue to be one of our major clients, and they have also recommended the practice to other Touring Site operators who wish to develop Affiliated sites.

Details of HPA’ projects at the club sites in the past five years include:

Rowntree Park (York): Improvement works to the site including a newly refurbished toilet block, new vegetable preparation area, baby and toddler room, information room, laundry, and bathroom with disabled access. Further improvements were also made to the pitches themselves.

Southport: Refurbishment and extension of the existing reception and toilet block, and refurbishment of facilities. The following phase will comprise a new extension site accommodating 79 new pitches, a new timber frame toilet block, and site facilities.

Meathop (Cumbria): The existing toilet block was in great need of refurbishment to bring it up to newer and modern standards required by the Client. The building was completely refurbished. The exterior of the building was renovated in keeping with local vernacular, including recovering of the roof using imitation slate tiles and local stone external walling.

Balbernie (Fife): Refurbishment of all the buildings on site including alteration of existing toilet block. Upgrade of site facilities, including service points, and motor can waste point and some of the pitches. Balbirnie Park is a 76 pitch site.

Park Coppice (Cumbria): Refurbishment of an existing caravan site within the Lake District National Park. Refurbishment of existing wardens accommodation and facilities. Refurbishment of existing Reception. Refurbishment and extension of three toilet blocks. Refurbished and new service points. Upgraded site access roads. Park Coppice is a 280 pitch site.

Kendal (Cumbria): Refurbishment of existing Caravan Club site leased from the National Trust and includes areas of Scheduled Ancient Monuments. Refurbishment and alteration of the existing reception, two toilet blocks, and warden’s facilities. New hardstanding pitches, serviced pitches and service points.
