Approved Planning for Cotestones Manege
HPA are pleased to announce that planning has recently been approved for the installation of a manege at Cotestones Farm, in Lancashire .
Since purchasing Cotestones Farm in 2015, Barkers Farms Ltd merged operations with Warton Grange Farm to ensue business and even proposing a diversification project to create a cattery on the property. This upcoming manege installation is for private residential use, and HPA intend to design a space big enough for show jumping and safe equestrian training to improve equine health and welfare.
With its coastal setting close to Morecambe Bay and location within the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, it is within HPA and the client’s best interests to ensure this area isn’t compromised by construction. This will be guaranteed by protecting its significant and specialist character when moving forward with planning, also complying with national and local policy.
The manege will showcase a hardcover base covered in recycled rubber, so as to achieve a safe, level surface for horses and the family. It is designed at 30x40m, fenced with timber posting, as well as combining native screen planting, in order to enrich biodiversity onsite and minimize visual impact to the environment.
This equestrian facility is a series of planning permissions HPA have secured for farming diversification across the north west.
