A huge range of Hotel Experience

Leisure Architects of choice

When it comes to leisure architects, HPA Chartered Architects are the Architects of choice for a number of prestigious hotel chains. This gives us a wealth of experience in the sector that we can bring to your project.

Historic Hotels

One of our specialities at HPA Chartered Architects is working with historic buildings. From the 400 year old Royal Kings Arms Hotel in Lancaster, to the 300 year old, Grade II listed Hipping Hall Hotel, we have vast experience working sympathetically with existing Architecture, gaining planning permission in this specialist area and blending the best of old and new to create modern hotels that retain the essence of their historic heritage.

We’ve also worked with the Borough, where we added accommodation to this popular venue in the historic Dalton Square of Lancaster.

Sensitive locations

HPA Chartered Architects also has the edge over other Architects in our experience of working in sensitive areas, including the Lake District National Park. In such places, gaining appropriate permission requires an extensive understanding of the planning process, and of the aims and objectives of the national park authorities, in order to put forward proposals that are acceptable to both the client and the local community.

Our successful work at Another Place – The Lake and the Michelin Starred Forest Side Hotel, demonstrate our ability to work within strict planning confines, while still delivering hotel designs and refurbishments of the highest quality.

Modern properties

Alongside our sensitive, specialist work at historic properties, HPA Chartered Architects have also undertaken a range of work at other locations. Here, we apply all our experience and expertise to deliver exactly the same high standards, innovative ideas and cost-effective solutions. This work includes the refurbishment of all of Lancaster Brewery’s pubs, including the Sun Inn in Lancaster and Duke of Edinburgh hotels in Barrow-In-Furness.

HPA Chartered Architects create superb places to stay that reflect and respect their surroundings perfectly. From historic halls to high street hostelries, from lakeside locations to city centres, from modern luxury lodges to boutique hotel rooms in quayside lofts, we have the knowledge and the know how to deliver designs that delight both our clients and their own clientelle.
