14 New Retirement Homes Ready for Occupation in Silverdale

14 new retirement homes have been completed in the grounds of Cove House, in the village of Silverdale, Lancashire. The homes are located next to the adjoining Abbeyfield Society Care Home, which can offer additional support to the residents of the new development, as required.

The development is described very eloquently by this statement from the Abbeyfield Society, which is as follows: “Our aim in developing Cove Orchard has been to provide well designed and easily maintained village homes that are right for all retired people, whether they are fit in their sixties looking to downsize or independently minded people in their nineties looking to stay in their own home.”

Through working in partnership with Applethwaite and our development team, we are confident that Cove Orchard homes will achieve these aims.

But this project is about more than having just an attractive home – important though this is – it is also about being able to stay engaged with village life, and being able to secure support, if it is later needed.
